Guidelines for Oral Presentation

• Total duration is 10 minutes, with 8 minutes of presentation followed by 2 minutes of question and/or discussion time.
• Participants are requested to adhere strictly to the timings.
• Participants are encouraged to present their work within 10-15 slides including the introduction and end slide.
• Venue for oral session will be intimated/updated on the conference website (refer to conference schedule) along with timings.
• You should use the same title as submitted with your abstract.

Slide design and visuals

• Ensure that your presentation is in “.pptx” format (Microsoft PowerPoint format)
• Keep slides simple and clean: Use a consistent design, with easy-to-read fonts and contrasting colours.

Before the Session

• Participants must submit a final copy of their presentation on a pendrive at the designated registration/technical desk before the commencement of their respective oral session.
• The presentation file should be named as “Presenter Name_Abstract ID” for easy identification.
• Keep a backup copy of the presentation on a USB drive and/or cloud storage.
• Report to the session venue at least 15-30 minutes before the scheduled session.

Guidelines for Authors – Poster Presentation

• Poster Size: The poster should be 36 × 48 inches (3 × 4 feet) in portrait orientation.
• Content: Include Title, Authors & Affiliations, Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Conclusion, and References.
• Presentation: Each presenter will be given 3-5 minutes for presentation, followed by a brief Q&A session.
• Display: Authors should display their posters at the designated venue before the scheduled session and remain available during the presentation period.
• Readability: Use clear fonts, concise text, and high-quality figures, tables, and graphs.
• Presenter: At least one author must be present during the poster presentation.
• Evaluation: Posters will be evaluated based on scientific content, originality, methodology, clarity, visual presentation, and response to questions.

Standard Components

Title with authors names, credentials, affiliations with e-mail address

Typical headings:

• Abstract
• ‘Introduction
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions
• References
• Acknowledgement of funding source if applicable

Style

• Use Times New Roman fonts for the title as well as body.
•  Use “Sentence case.”
• Text should be legible from three to five feet away.
• Title font size should be about 100 points or larger and text 24 points or larger. However, font size is about judgment and what looks best with your poster.
• Graphs and tables should be large (minimum of 8.5 x 11 inches is preferable).

Colors

• Color should be used to unify the poster.
• Choose 2 or 3 colors and keep them consistent.
• Use strong, primary colors.
• Backgrounds should be plain (white is a good choice). Avoid backgrounds with patterns or gradients – sometimes they do not print well. The visibility and readability of the content should be good.

Graphics

• Graphics should have a resolution of at least 300dpi.
